It's hard to know where to begin to describe the record-breaking 2009 season of Twister-Racing. 16 out of 17 wins is probably a good way to start
Twister leads in Turkey
Ultimate success in the Ace division has always eluded Twister in the past, finishing 3rd in 2006, 4th in 2007 and 2nd in 2008. Mikko Puumalainen kicked off the 2009 season in perfect style with victory in Melbourne, with Poniatowski, Bengtsson and Malezic all adding victories of their own during the season. Puumalainen clinched the Drivers’ championship comfortably with two rounds to spare at Suzuka, demonstrating a supreme mix of speed and consistency that no other driver could match.
2009 World Series Ace Standings
In truth, the battle with Roaldo Racing for the Team Championship was a lot closer than it should have been. Despite the dominance of Twister, they weren’t able to pull clear until the late stages of the season. However, Twister finished well ahead by the end of the year and even managed to finish 2nd with their number two team also. It will be a challenge for the team to repeat this success in 2010, especially as the majority of their 2009 Ace drivers will no doubt be looking to graduate to the World Championship.
Random Fact...
Twister-Racing scored over 1000 points in World Series Ace 2009.

Q: It was a totally dominant season from Twister. Firstly give us your verdict on an incredible season for the blue cars.
Nick Rowland: Quite simply stunning. The work rate and effort put in last year across all divisions was quite literally sensational and couldn't be faulted. A true testament to themselves and dedication.
Q: Twister had a large presence in the Ace division, were they sometimes compromised by having too many top-line drivers?
Nick Rowland: Yes, very much so. Especially when they were all competitive at all races. It meant they were compromised in races but also meant that they were not allowed to race meaning races become very tedious.
Q: How important was Twister's WC success to their Ace triumphs and vice versa?
Nick Rowland: Massively, WC and Ace Twister guys could all race WC. They are very capable and have superb setup knowledge that as we saw was untouchable.
