Tuesday, 19 January 2010 21:12

LONDON, UK - In an press conference this morning Torrent Motorsports announced it’s latest acquisition in it’s all star line up for the Formula Sim-Racing 2010 season, Rickard Hellsten. He will compete for the team in the newly renamed World Series division rumored to be partnered with Petter Kaasa in what would be a powerhouse duo. Rickard is a seasoned pro at FSR with 37 starts to his name and 3 of those starts were wins.

Simon Melhuish – Team Manager: “I am pleased that Rickard chose to join us for 2010. After I heard about the team he was planning to race for was unsure on their future in FSR, I contacted him to enquire on his availability and he seemed very keen on driving for Torrent Motorsports. Once we chat I could see that Rickard was very motivated on doing well not only as a driver but also to push TMo forward.”

Michael Theis – Team Principle: “To say I am excited about the 2010 FSR season would be a gross understatement, and signing quality talent like this is exactly why. I have had the pleasure of seeing Rickard drive not only open wheelers but many cars and can say he is quite the TMo caliber driver we search for. I want to thank Simon and the rest of the staff for their hard work in attracting such talent and look forward to a record breaking 2010 season.“

We can’t wait to see the results of such an allstar team in the top formula based sim series on the planet, it should be nothing short of breathtaking. Good luck to Hellsten and the TMo team in 2010!
